The critique with Poppin shifted the project scope to the idea of a larger office waste system as opposed to individual waste receptacles.
After further research into the target customer of Poppin and they style of the the open concept office I found that a communal waste sorting system would still encourage earth conscious habits of recycling, while also reducing the need for plastic bags in individual cans, the time it takes maintenance workers to collect the trash, and the amount of plastic needed to create the bins.
