FINAL BUILD

ONE WEEK • WENT WELL

Investigating the Materials

Once the final design was reached I began to work on the model. After determining that creating the model from the actual materials was not feasible I worked to create a model that looks like the real version from an unrelated material.

Getting the Look

Using ¾” MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) and the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) router I was able to cut the needed fillets to achieve the form. I then assembled the pieces and through a series of priming and sanding was able to achieve a look similar to plastic.
