Iterative Refinement

I used a technical drawing to create my final revisions and prototypes. To help me understand how the silicone rubber sheet would look and react under tension, I used vinyl fabric to simulate it.

Testing proved that the silicone topper would be significantly more effective if there were multiple slots rather than two long ones and so I made a modification in my final prototype.
As shown in the above picture, I decided to match the contours of the silicone topper to those of the box rather than leaving them square. This kept the final product more in line with Poppin's unified design philosophy.
